"The Millennium Hope Hills" was built there. About 300,000 trees were planted in the park. They were planted with former residents and volunteers from all over the country. It is a place of the requiem for the lives we lost and memorial to the next generation.
The design of the monument with the bell in the park shows people support each other. It expresses our appreciation for people helping each other to get over the disaster, requiem, and our hope for the future.
The clear sound of the bell echoes through the coast line with our message that "I will never forget you."
